Metaphors can bring to light how a client perceives life or a given situation. Some say we use a metaphor about every 25 seconds in our every day language. In this interactive session, participants will:

• Understand what is a metaphor and it’s importance in human experience.
• Explore your own metaphor for life, and what this reveals about how you see/experience your life.
• Discover how to listen for metaphors in coaching, leading to seeing more deeply into the client’s world.
• Learn how to help a client reframe a limiting or undesirable metaphor, and to then co- create a practice in body, in language, in emotion to help this shift take hold in the client’s daily life.

Kymberly Johnson is a Senior Program Coach and Coach Trainer for the Newfield Network (since 2003), helping new coaches develop their coaching to meet certification standards.
