Don’t Take the Bait with Janet Harvey, MCC

This is part of a larger week long event hosted by Invite Change to celebrate International Coaching Week. You can learn more and register here for this and 20 other free webinars starting May 4.

The skills and demonstration behaviors of the 4 specific competencies are used as the discussion framework in order to reveal to the audience how to most fully utilize this framework to increase client ownership, accountability and actionable learning for desired forward momentum.

Our purpose is to break the habit of defaulting to consulting, mentoring or educating because that is what the client asked for instead of trusting the coaching process fully and being coach as the pathway to reinstate client authority to invite and navigate the change they desire.

Invite dialogue among the community of coaches to examine the internal motivators for how practitioners engage a client system more effectively ~ contracting, creating psychological safety, partnering for growth, creating awareness of actionable insight ~ that truly maximizes potential rather than react to assumptive reality as the truth.

Session Objectives:

  1. Awareness of habit and attachments to the definition of value and contribution that is possible in any client engagement
  2. Application of four specific core competencies to generate greater effectiveness in contracting, partnering, psychological safety and ownership to drive actionable awareness with clients who operate inside of government systems.
     - Application of CC#2, Establishing the Coaching Agreement, to the contracting process in order to evoke expanded ownership by leaders for how to show up and fully partner
     - Application of CC#3, Building Trust & Intimacy, to the best practice for creating psychological safety in a public sector, human system.
    - Application of CC #4, Coaching Presence, to provoke a partnership that challenges habit in favor of accessing innate creativity that generates effective evolution.
    - Application of CC #8, Creating Awareness, to explore beyond information toward the meaningful underlying habits, assumptions and bias that blocks forward movement.

Participants will earn 1.5 Core Competency CCEs for attending this webinar.
